Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the difficulties experienced by small retailers in little towns as they try to stay tough competition from big retailers. In order to determine the bottlenecks and stumbling blocks that limits small scale businesses from competing effectively with large ones, this research will investigate some factors affecting retail business in small towns. The focus of this research paper is on the strategies and interventions which would help bolster resilience and strengthen viability of small retailers against growing competition from large chain retail stores. To reach these goals, an in-depth examination of market dynamics, consumer behavior, legal environment, and resource limitations are conducted.
