The Relationship between Perceptions of Cultural Conflicts and Community Participation in Tourism Development: A Quantitative Analysis

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between the perception of cultural conflict and community involvement in the context of tourist development. This study will use quantitative research methodology to collect and evaluate numerical data to better understand this relationship. The main research topic examines the relationship between the perception of cultural conflict and community involvement. The perception of cultural tension in the tourist community was assessed as an independent variable. This study uses quantitative methodology to construct an accurate framework, measure numerical data, and objectively investigate the relationship between these factors. In addition, this study was conducted in Kampung Ulu Rening, Batang Kali, Selangor. The community in that place is the respondent group for this study. About 100 respondents who have answered the questionnaire that has been prepared. Understanding the relationship between perceived cultural conflict and community engagement has important implications for tourism development initiatives. This study also uses Cronbach's Alpha findings. That is used to assess the internal consistency reliability of a set of measurements, especially when it includes a large number of surveys or test questions. It may assess how closely related a set of items is, revealing the extent to which items in a measurement instrument represent the same underlying construct. The findings of the study can help policy makers, community leaders and tourism stakeholders understand how to eliminate cultural tensions and increase community engagement to promote sustainable tourism growth.
